About OSS-ECAL

The OSS-ECAL(called ˈiː kæl) site is a platform to support embedded engineers.

Software that is compatible with electronic components is a completely non-competitive area of software because the functions of the electronic components are predetermined, so there is no need to develop new software for each product. In addition, product manufacturers are increasingly requesting electronic component manufacturers to provide software that is compatible with their electronic components. This site provides OSS-ECAL, open source software for electronic components, to support product manufacturers and electronic component manufacturers.

OSS-ECAL stands for Open-Source Software for Electronic Components Abstraction Layer. OSS-ECAL is a software layer aimed at improving the efficiency and usability of software development for electronic components, and provides software interfaces tailored to the characteristics of electronic components. OSS-ECAL adapts to the SDV era

With the recent development of SDV (Software Defined Vehicle), ECU architecture is shifting from domain architecture to zone architecture. OSS-ECAL provides OSS applied to sensors, actuators, external memory, etc. at the ECU layer.
When sensors and actuators are moved between ECUs, portability of the corresponding software is a major challenge; OSS-ECAL solves this problem and ensures a smooth transition.
